Golden Falcons net first win of the season

RED OAK -- Charles B. Aycock snapped a season-opening, two-match skid with a 9-0, non-conference romp over Northern Nash.
Cassidy Coerver, Kassidy Pitchford, Casey Belom, Sabrina Johnson, Meredith Jones and Haley Creech each posted a straight-set victory in singles. The six players combined to lose just three games against the Knights.
Coerver-Pitchford, Belom-Johnson and Jones-Grayson Lane completed the sweep in doubles.
The Golden Falcons (1-2 overall) return home Tuesday for a match against Wilson Fike.
