Rosewood soccer earns mercy-rule win

CALYPSO -- Lexi Mercer scored six goals and Rosewood beat Carolina 1-A Conference foe North Duplin 9-0 via the mercy rule in 56 minutes Tuesday evening.
Payton Lane added a goal and three assists for the Eagles. Tierra Jones also had a goal for Rosewood.
Tiffany Baldwin, Jessica Conger, Kennedy Behrend, Shelby Lemasters and Rebecca Fitzmaurice all had one assistfor the Eagles.
Jala Holloman made three saves in goal for the shutout.
Rosewood improved to 9-4-1 and 7-3 in conference play.
