Rosewood netters slip past Wayne Country Day

Rosewood earned the decisive points at Nos. 2 and 3 doubles, and slipped past Wayne Country Day, 5-4.
The Eagles' No. 2 duo of Jake Smith-Lucas Parrish eased past the Chargers' combo of Young Wang-Lance Davis, 8-3. The No. 3 pairing of Chase Bartlett-Jared Bradley upended Nolan Davis-Charlie Dees, 8-6.
Smith, Parrish and Bartlett each won in singles.
Sam Dively, a returning all-state performer, posted a shutout at No. 1 singles for the Chargers. Hunter Hawkins won at the No. 2 slot, while teammate Dees dropped the second set before handing Bradley a 6-1, 1-6, 10-7 defeat at No. 6 singles
Dively-Hawkins claimed the lone doubles point for WCDS.
Three singles matches were decided by tiebreakers.
