Spring Creek slips past James Kenan in OT

WARSAW -- Spring Creek pulled out a closely contested road victory in extra time on Thursday afternoon, beating Carolina 1-A Conference foe James Kenan 2-1.
Rheanna Ried got the Lady Gators on the board early, scoring in the 18th minute off an assist from Griselda Vazquez. Kenan answered in the 61st minute and the teams finished regulation play tied at 1-1.
Spring Creek got the decisive goal five minutes into extra time, when Jordan Lane stole the ball at midfield, got past three defenders and put the ball in the back of the net.
The Gators (5-1-0 overall, 3-1-0 CC) visit Hobbton on Apr. 13.
