EW's Johnson throws five-inning shutout

Brock Johnson went the distance on the mound as Eastern Wayne beat Nash Central 11-0 in five innings via the mercy rule.
Johnson threw 53 pitches gave up three hits, one walk and struck out three on just 53 pitches.
Zack Smith had two hits, including a double and three RBI. Coy Barnett had two doubles and drove in two runs. Tanner Wells and Lee Daniels also drove in two runs for the Warriors.
Weather permitting, Eastern Wayne (4-1 overall) is scheduled to play today. Warriors head coach Jabo Fulghum said that game looks "very doubtful."
No make-up date has been scheduled if it is postponed.
