BRISTOL, Tenn. -- Joe Koehler mashed a three-run, seventh-inning homer and No. 14-ranked University of Mount Olive rolled past Conference Carolinas foe King (Tenn.), 12-3, on Sunday afternoon.

The Trojans (20-9 overall) avoided a three-game sweep in the series.

Jason Morozowski added two hits and two RBI for UMO, which secured career win No. 999 for head coach Carl Lancaster. Should the Trojans defeat Catawba on Tuesday, Lancaster would become the fourth active coach and 14th coach overall in Division II history to reach the milestone.

Gunnar Kines (5-1) emerged as the winning pitcher. He tossed five complete innings, permitted three hits and retired three King batters on strikeouts. Mark Harris, Brighton Hudson, Dario Santangelo, Jose Serrano and Brandon Day each saw on the time on the mound for UMO.
