Jones shoots 81, Aycock finishes 2nd in ECC 3A/4A golf match

Brice Jones carded a team-low 81 and helped lead Charles B. Aycock to a second-place finish during the season-opening, Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference meet contested at Lane Tree Golf Club.
Senior Noah West posted an 84. Mitchell Langston turned in an 85 and Cody Freels added an 88 to round out the Golden Falcons' four-player total of 349. Alex Weaver and Blake Bartlett also competed for Aycock.
Willis Underwood paced Eastern Wayne with a 90. Victor Kokiko and Drew Grady managed 18-hole scores of 93 and 94, respectively. Zack Lancaster contributed a 101. Austin Uzzell and Blake Polanel participated for the Warriors.
First names for Southern Wayne's players were not available.
D.H. Conley's Bryce Hendrix claimed medalist honors with a 63.
