Parrott Academy nets win over WCDS

KINSTON -- Sam Dively claimed Wayne Country Day's lone singles point in a season-opening, 7-1 loss to perennial 2-A independent power Arendell-Parrott Academy on Monday.
Dively defeated the Pats' William Brechtalsbauer 7-5, 6-3.
Preston Edwards, Hunter Hawkins, Lance Davis, Nolan Davis and Charlie Dees also competed for the Chargers.
Parrott claimed both doubles points.
WCDS plays host Lawrence Academy on Thursday. Play begins at 3:45 on the Wayne Community College courts.
