Jeremy Cox knocked down of 10 his team-high 23 points in the fourth quarter, and D.H. Conley defeated Eastern Wayne, 59-52, in their Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference game Friday.
Cox shot 6 of 7 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter.
Teammate Peyton Ahlers added 12 points.
"What I liked about this win is that after Eastern Wayne made a run, my guys overcame adversity and found a way to win on the road," Conley head coach Rob Maloney said. "That's always hard. Eastern Wayne has improved a lot since we played them the first time. We had some seniors that stepped up late."
Micah Smith led the Warriors with 25 points. Blake Poland, Malik Richard and KK Best added six points apiece.
