Kinston girls complete league sweep of GHS

KINSTON -- Goldsboro faltered in the third quarter against Eastern Carolina 2-A foe Kinston for the second straight time, and fell 53-45 on Tuesday evening.
The Vikings, led by four three-pointers, scored 25 points and held Goldsboro to five points.
Jada Faison led the way for Kinston will 13 points. Four Vikings scored in double figures.
On a night where Tyona Moses struggled to get things going, Destini Covington scored 16 points for the Cougars. Moses finished with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Covington added six assists and three steals.
Goldsboro (9-6 overall, 5-2 ECC) plays host to Ayden-Grifton on Friday.
