North Duplin girls dealt heart-breaking loss

SMITHFIELD -- Rylee Pate led three North Duplin players in double figures with a game-high 18 points in a gut-wrenching, 51-50 loss to Carolina 1-A Conference foe Neuse Charter on Friday evening.
Shaily McCarty chipped in 13 points. Deja Aycock tallied 12 points.
Dominique Dakin scored 15 for the Cougars.
North Duplin (0-14 overall, 0-8 CC) returns home Tuesday to face Lakewood.
