Cox, Ricks lead Bulldogs past Rebels

CALYPSO -- Princeton escaped an upset with a 37-33 victory over winless North Duplin on the Carolina 1-A Conference scene Wednesday evening.
Charley Cox and freshman Emily Ricks combined for 20 points for the Bulldogs. Cox added eight rebounds, six assists and six steals. Ricks grabbed nine boards. Presley Whitley also pulled down 12 rebounds.
Shaily McCarty scored a game-high 11 points for the Rebels. Rylee Pate chipped in six points.
Princeton (5-9 overall, 3-3 CC) visits James Kenan on Friday.
