* Boys' basketball: Wayne Christian 54, Antioch 45 -- Austin Kornegay paced the Eagles' attack with a double-double -- 14 points, 10 rebounds. Jaxon Anderson knocked 11 points and picked Antioch for a team-high four steals. Tyler Weeks added eight points and eight rebounds. Micaiah Singletary (four rebounds) and Skylar Price (three steals) each had six points.
* Girls' basketball: Wayne Christian 45, Antioch 17 -- Summer Rose paced the Eagles with 15 points in their homecoming victory at Clifford Gymnatorium. Abi Harrelson and Holly Gurley chipped in nine points apiece. Allison Whitfield tallied eight points.
* Girls' basketball: C.B. Aycock 23, South Central 19 -- The Golden Falcons built a 19-11 lead through three periods and held on for the Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference victory. Freshman Hannah Vinson and sophomore Destiny Washington tallied nine points apiece for CBA.
* Boys' basketball: South Central 52, C.B. Aycock 20 -- Tayquan Harrington and Marquez Farmer scored five points apiece in the Golden Falcons' road defeat.
* Boys' basketball: Goldsboro 55, South Lenoir 51 -- Jacob Owens and Deondre Pettiford registered 11 points in the Cougars' road win. Jaryan Hargis added 10 points. Daryl Gaddis dished out six assists, while Aaron Smith wiped the glass for seven rebounds and scored seven points.
