No. 2-ranked Tigers scratch Wildcats

WARSAW -- James Kenan took a 47-point lead into halftime and cruised to a 53-6 win over Carolina 1-A opponent Hobbton on Friday.
The No. 2-ranked Tigers rushed for 180 yards and three touchdowns. They had 12 players get a rushing attempt with Jonathan West leading the team in carries (eight) and yards (55).
Quarterback Ken Avent III completed six passes for 194 yards and four touchdowns. Greg Washington had two TD grabs for 95 yards and a score. John Brooks had two catches for 41 yards and two touchdowns. Jaquan Williams found the end zone once during his two-catch, 58-yard performance.
Ishnel Georges had one sack, and Brooks recovered a fumble for the defense.
James Kenan (8-1 overall, 4-0 CC) faces Spring Creek next Friday.
