Rebels' Quintanilla claims 1A east singles title

GREENVILLE -- North Duplin's Julissa Quintanilla emerged as the NCHSAA Class 1-A eastern regional singles champion.
Quintanilla returns to action Friday in the state tournament in Cary.
The Rebels, meanwhile, play host to county rival Wallace-Rose Hill in second-round action of the NCHSAA dual-team playoffs. First serve is 4 p.m. on the University of Mount Olive campus.
