GREENVILLE -- Southern Wayne couldn't penetrate D.H. Conley's defense and fell 51-0 in an Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference game Friday night.
Tyaire Allen led the Saints with 20 yards rushing, and Jacob Hollingsworth caught one pass for six yards.
The Saints' defense stopped Conley in scoring territory on two separate occasions and forced a field goal on another, but they just couldn't move the ball much.
"We were able to move the ball right before halftime and at the beginning of the second half but Conley is a great team and their defense was outstanding," Southern Wayne coach David Lee said. "We will work hard as always come Monday and be prepared for South Central next week."
Southern Wayne (1-6 overall, 0-2 ECC) entertains South Central on Friday.
