Princeton runs past Hobbton

NEWTON GROVE -- Hobbton pitched a first-quarter shutout against No. 4-ranked Princeton on Friday.

The once-beaten Bulldogs erupted for 24 second-quarter points and handed the Wildcats a 45-6 loss in Carolina 1-A Conference play.

Johnny Frasier led the way wih 152 yards rushing on 16 carries. The senior running back visited the end zone for the 13th time season.

A pack of Bulldogs followed Frasier's lead.

Quarterback Michael Wooten rushed for two touchdowns. Adrian Whack and Cody Garner each found paydirt on one occasion. Tanner Woodard caught five of Wooten's eight completions for 62 yards.

Princeton (6-1 overall, 1-1 Carolina) entertains Spring Creek on Friday. Kickoff is 7:30 p.m. at Harvey Brooks Field.
