Rosewood rebounds, sweeps North Duplin in 3 sets

Rosewood rebounded from its two-match losing streak with a 25-21, 25-13, 25-19 triumph over Carolina 1-A Conference foe North Duplin on Thursday evening.
Callie Thornton led the defensive effort with 16 digs. Ada Rivera dished out 21 assists and Ashley Thornton led the Eagles with nine kills. Lexi Mercer chipped in nine kills and five blocks.
Chesney Brown led the Rebels with five kills and three aces.
Rosewood (12-10 overall, 7-7 CC) and North Duplin (6-10, 5-9) return to action Monday in the season-ending conference tournament. The top four teams host first-round games.
