After dropping the first four singles matches, Princeton nearly completed a remarkable comeback but fell just short in a 5-4 defeat at the hands of Carolina 1-A Conference rival Rosewood on Tuesday.
Faith Baker, Kennedy Behrend, Keelin Hunter and Laura Lintner each took singles victories to start the match and build an insurmountable lead for the Eagles.
Baker-Behrend finished off the match with an 8-5 win at No. 1 doubles.
Nicole and Mackenzie Evans each won singles matches and then turned around and teamed up to win the third doubles match. The team of Katie Smale-Bailey Martin also took a doubles victory.
