Chargers no match for Knights in CPIC tennis

WILSON -- Wayne Country Day lost just five games on the singles courts on their way to a 9-0 sweep of Coastal Plains Independent 1-A/2-A Conference foe Greenfield on Thursday.
Gianna Democko, Taylor Willman and Jennifer Potts each swept their opponents 6-0, 6-0. Ally Willman, Eliza Eagles and Anna Allen also earned victories for the Chargers.
Democko-T. Willman, Potts-A . Willman and Margaux Pope-Taylor Gumbish swept the doubles to finish the match.
The Chargers (13-1 overall, 2-0 CPIC) entertain Freedom Christian on Tuesday.
