GREENVILLE -- Wayne Country Day had six players register points in a 6-0 throttling of Coastal Plains Independent 1-A/2-A Conference foe Pope John Paul on Tuesday evening.
Matt Kierski, Tony Townsend and Jacob Magera each found the net twice. Kierski added an assist along with Danny Lee, Hunter Bryson and Charlie Roethling each having one helper.
"We got the job done tonight without playing as well as we have," WCDS coach Steven Ellis said. "Our tempo and performance kind of mirrored our opponents today. I'm looking for a stronger team effort against Greenfield on Friday."
The Chargers (9-3-1 overall, 2-0-0 CPIC) travel to archrival Greenfield on Friday.
