Spring Creek dealt 1st conference loss of season

NEWTON GROVE -- Spring Creek tumbled from the unbeaten ranks in Carolina 1-A Conference play with a 2-1 loss to Hobbton on Monday afternoon.
Gustavo Avalos notched the Gators' lone goal on assist from Otto Binar.
The Wildcats scored a pair of second-half goals.
Spring Creek plays host to defending Carolina champion James Kenan on Wednesday afternoon. Kickoff is 5 p.m. in "The Swamp."
