Sauls earns medalist honors on Lane Tree GC links

Freshman Abby Sauls earned medalist honors with a nine-hole round of 48 and Charles B. Aycock turned back county rival Goldsboro, 165-185, on the Lane Tree Golf Club links Wednesday afternoon.
"We played pretty well," CBA head coach Roger Rhodes said. "Jonathan's (Burke) girls are coming along. He's working hard with them."
Isabelle Boulanger complemented Sauls' effort with 58. Anna Williams shot a 59, while Rachel Boulanger fired a 62.
Helen Keck paced the Cougars with a 60. Ashley Smith contributed a 62. Camrym King and Tracy Smith each recorded a 63.
