PIKEVILLE -- J.H. Rose notched the game-winning goal with 30 seconds remaining in the second overtime, and handed Charles B. Aycock a 3-2 loss in Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference play Tuesday evening.
"Heartbreaker and a half," Golden Falcons coach Kevin Adkins said. "We would have been satisfied with a draw against a 4-A to put us back in contention with the 3-A bracket. But, you got to roll with the punches."
Chris Grieve scored twice for CBA on assists from Bobby Hampton and Leo Carcomo.
The Golden Falcons (5-3-0 overall, 0-3-0 ECC) travel to Goldsboro on Thursday.
