Sanchez goal lifts C.B. Aycock past SSS

PIKEVILLE -- Charles B. Aycock ended a streak of consecutive shutout losses with a 4-3, non-conference triumph over Smithfield-Selma on Monday evening.
The Golden Falcons swept the regular-season series.
Juninho Sanchez collected a loose ball in the penalty area and booted home the game-winning goal in the 60th minute -- 11 minutes after Smithfield-Selma knotted the contest at 3-all.
Chris Grieve, Leo Carcomo and Bobby Hampton also scored for C.B. Aycock. Zack Zacharzuk and Hampton each recorded an assist.
The Golden Falcons (3-4-0 overall) entertain J.H. Rose today and travel to county rival Goldsboro on Thursday.
