Burton shoots career-best 38 on Goldsboro Municipal GC links

Lindsey Burton shot a career-best 2-over par 38 and Rosewood placed first among three teams during a non-conference meet contested at Goldsboro Municipal Golf Course on Monday afternoon.
Alana Pipkin and Shamayah Revis posted nine-hole rounds of 52 and 57 for the Eagles, who defeated Charles B. Aycock 147-173 and first-year program Goldsboro High, which shot 178.
Abby Sauls led CBA with a 48. Teammates Isabella Boulanger and Anna Williams provided scores of 62 and 63, respectively.
Helen Keck and Cameron King paced Goldsboro with identical rounds of 59. Ashley Smith turned in a 60 for the Cougars, who are directed by former Barton College standout Jonathan Burke.
