Perennial independent powerhouse Faith Christian of Rocky Mount cranked out six second-half goals and handed Wayne Christian a 7-2, non-conference loss Monday afternoon.
Holden Foster and Skyler Price each scored a goal for the Eagles. Austin Howell and Jaxon Anderson dished out one assist apiece.
"(We) played a hardfought game, but it wasn't enough to overcome the speed and talent of Faith," WCS head coach Daryl Anderson said.
Wayne Christian (1-6-0 overall) plays host to Northwood Temple today.
