Ruiz notches hat trick for unbeaten Saints

La GRANGE -- After falling behind by two goals, Southern Wayne hit the back of the net four times to beat North Lenoir 4-3 on Wednesday evening.
Alex Ruiz scored a hat trick for the Saints, while Byron Martinez added one goal.
Reece Hobbs had nine saves in net for the Hawks.
Braxton Greene and Reed Parris scored goals in the run of play for North Lenoir. Mike Bednarz converted a penalty kick. Nick Kennedy and Hector Vasquez each had an assist.
North Lenoir (2-5-1 overall) faces East Duplin on Monday, while Southern Wayne (5-0-1 overall) is the guest of Smithfield-Selma next Tuesday.
