North Duplin wins first-ever boys' soccer game

CALYPSO -- Juan Garcia and Ronaldo Casteneda each had hat tricks (three goals) and North Duplin -- in its inaugural season -- handed Neuse Charter a 10-1, mercy-rule loss Wednesday afternoon.
It was the Carolina 1-A Conference opener for both teams.
Jonathan Paez-Herrera had two goals. Luis Velasquez and Gerardo Silva each added a goal.
North Duplin (1-0-0 overall) entertains Lakewood next Monday.
