Norris posts double-double in Eagles' road win

LUMBERTON -- Freshman Kasey Norris posted a double-double -- 10 kills and 21 assists -- during Wayne Christian's 24-26, 25-16, 25-23, 25-19 conquest of Antioch Christian.
Norris also served five aces.
Junior Emily Wells just missed a double-double with 17 assists, nine kills and seven aces. Freshman Amanda Morrell contributed seven kills and three aces, while Sarah Sawyer chipped in eight kills and six aces.
The Eagles' defense recorded 70 digs, including 34 by freshman Holly Gurley and 23 from senior libero Reagan Taylor.
Wayne Christian (2-3 overall) travels to Goldsboro on Tuesday.
