Saints drop heart-breaker to South Central

WINTERVILLE -- South Central triumphed on two doubles courts and turned back Southern Wayne, 5-4, in an Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference match Thursday afternoon.
Hope Jones, Brooke Kornegay and Stephanie Gonzalez each earned a singles win for the Saints. The duo of Jones-Kornegay emerged victorious at No. 1 doubles.
Southern Wayne (0-5 overall, 0-3 ECC) faces New Bern at home next Tuesday.
