Wayne Country Day nets another non-league win

Wayne Country Day emerged victorious on five singles courts and upended Faith Christian of Rocky Mount, 8-1, at Wayne Community College on Friday afternoon.
Gianna Democko, Jennifer Potts and Taylor Willman did not lose a game. Ally Willman and Anna Allen each prevailed in straight sets.
Democko-Margaux Pope, T. Willman-A. Willman and Potts-Taylor Gumbish swept the Patriots in doubles play. The trio combined to lose just three games.
Wayne Country Day (4-0 overall) faces North Lenoir at Bill Fay Park on Monday afternoon. First serve is 4 p.m.
