WENDELL -- Princeton recorded four top-10 individual finishes and claimed the girls' Open Division team title during the Early Bird XC Invitational contested at Wendell Community Park on Saturday.
Altheia Balageo led the Bulldogs' charge with a fourth-place effort. Megan Evans wound up seventh. Amber Johnson and Chelsea Hawley crossed the line in eighth and ninth place, respectively.
More than 60 runners participated.
On the boys' side, Princeton sophomore Austin Sullivan, in his first-ever varsity race, emerged as the top runner in the Open Division. Teammate Jose Aguillon, a senior, placed third. Hunter Mitchell took fourth among 120 runners representing 11 teams.
Princeton was the lone 1-A team in the competition.
"The winning teams got a couple of boxes of brownies as the award," PHS head coach Mark McLamb said. "This has been the tradition in this meet since it started. No trophies, just brownines. And I think the kids like the brownies better than getting a trophy."
