Princeton pulls out 5-set thriller

PRINCETON -- Kasey Edwards recorded 13 kills and four blocks, and Princeton turned back county rival Corinth-Holders 25-20, 25-20, 17-25, 27-29, 17-15 on Wednesday afternoon.
Taylor Carroll and Kortney Edwards provided 11 and 10 kills, respectively. Kelsey Peedin paced the defense with 15 digs. Jenna Woodard supplied 10 digs.
Charley Cox logged a double-double -- 35 assists and 10 digs.
Princeton (2-0 overall) begins defense of its Carolina 1-A Conference title at James Kenan next Tuesday. First serve is 6 p.m. inside Harmon Gymnasium.
