WCDS netters collect another non-conference victory

Wayne Country Day remained unbeaten with an 8-1, non-conference triumph over Lawrence Academy on the Wayne Community College tennis courts Tuesday afternoon.
The Chargers swept the singles courts.
Second-seeded Jennifer Potts posted a straight-set shutout at No. 2 singles. Teammates Gianna Democko, Taylor Willman and Ally Willman each dropped just two games in their respective matches.
Fifth-seeded Eliza Eagles and sixth-seeded Anna Allen also prevailed in straight-set fashion.
The tandems of Potts-A. Willman and Margaux Pope-Taylor Gumbish each collected a win at Nos. 2 and 3 doubles, respectively.
Wayne Country Day (2-0 overall) is the guest of perennial 2-A powerhouse Greene Central on Thursday. First serve is 4 p.m. on the Snow Hill Tennis Complex courts.
