North Lenoir slips past Rosewood

La GRANGE -- North Lenoir's Nic Kennedy scored shortly after Rosewood tied the game late, giving the Hawks a 2-1, season-opening win Tuesday.
Eric Holloway assisted Mike Bednarz's goal in the first half.
Stalen Massengill got credit for a goal on a North Lenoir deflection that snuck past North Lenoir's keeper.
Chad Ginn got the assist on Kennedy's game winner.
North Lenoir (1-0-0 overall) entertains defending state 1-A champion Wallace Rose Hill today, while the Eagles (0-1-0) play host to the Hawks on Thursday.
