ECBL: C.B. Aycock White prevails in bottom of 7th inning

PIKEVILLE -- Charles B. Aycock White scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning and handed Wayne Christian a 6-5 loss in Eastern Carolina Baseball League play.

Chandler Matthews led the CBA White attack with two hits, including a home run, two RBI and scored twice.

Bradley Pate also drove in a run with a hit.

Trey Jordan got the win on the bump.

CBA White withstood a four-run first inning from Wayne Christian, which cranked out 12 hits. But the Eagles were only able to push across one more run in the game.

Ted Suggs led Wayne Christian with three hits and three RBI.

Austin Howell and Mitch Turnage (two doubles) each had two hits. Howell also stole two bases, as did Hunter Burt.

Holden Foster got the start on the mound. Suggs endured the loss in relief.
