ECBL: East Duplin offense explodes in 6th inning

BEULAVILLE -- Will Rouse provided two of Spring Creek's three hits in an 11-1, six-inning loss to ECBL foe East Duplin on Thursday evening.
The teams were tied at 1-1 through 51/2 innings before East Duplin scored 10 runs in the bottom of the sixth to invoke the mercy rule.
Josh Lebron added a double and RBI for Spring Creek, which dropped to 1-2 overall this season.
Sawyer Smith took the mound loss.
Spring Creek continues play Monday at North Lenoir. Game time is 6 p.m. at Alphin Field.
