Two first-timers and a perennial contender emerged as tri-champions on the Wayne County Middle School Athletic Conference girls' soccer scene this spring.

Norwayne, Spring Creek and Greenwood each logged a 10-2-0 worksheet on the soccer pitch. Norwayne seized its fifth WCMSAC crown in program history, while it marked the first titles for Spring Creek and Greenwood.

A total of 15 players from the three schools combined earn a spot on the WCMSAC all-conference squad.

Norwayne's selections were co-captains Michelle Zamora and Lauren Smith; Morgan Casey, Lauren Cline and Colleena Zarcharzuk.

Zamora led the Cobras in total goals scored. Goalkeeper Mckenzie Norris recorded 42 saves between the pipes.

According to banners hanging in Norwayne's gym, the four girls sports -- volleyball, basketball, soccer and cheerleading -- have combined for more than 40 WCMSAC championships since 2000.

At Seven Springs, the Gators outscored the opposition 42-10 this season and posted six shutouts.

Madison Sullivan, who led Spring Creek with 37 points (17 goals, three assists), received all-WCMSAC accolades. She was joined by Bianca Cuevas-Barraza (33 points -- 16 goals, one assist), Mackenzie Ingram, Fernanda Martinez and Mirna Santiago.

SC head coach Linda Salter shared the WCMSAC coach-of-the-year award with Greenwood's Daniel Robinson.

Robinson's group of T-Birds soared to new heights and recorded eight shutouts defensively with Lisa Urban handling the goalkeeping dutie.

Greenwood allowed just 10 goals.

Tri-captain Madison Tallarida worked her way onto the all-WCMSAC team with a 24-goal output. She was joined by tri-captain Claire Molloy (nine goals), Alana Kazar (nine goals), Tiayana Barnes (two goals) and Alliyah Culley (two goals).

The T-Birds scored 57 goals as a team.
