Rosewood's Cuddington advances to 1A tennis final

CARY -- Rosewood senior Dylan Cuddington advanced to today's championship singles match in the N.C. High School Athletic Association Class 1-A contested at the Cary Tennis Center.
Cuddington faced Elkin's Ryan Schell in the finals at 9 this morning.
A three-time eastern champion, Cuddington (14-0 overall) defeated Queen's Grant's Zuri Kent Smith 7-6 (6), 6-3 in the quarterfinals. He turned back Mount Airy's Mitch Kessler 6-3, 6-4 in semifinal-round play.
Schell advanced with a 6-4, 6-0 decision over Gray Stone Day's John Latimer.
