CALYPSO -- Beth Braswell delivered one hit and three RBI, and Princeton secured the Carolina 1-A Conference regular-season championship with a 14-3 victory over North Duplin on Friday evening.
The Bulldogs (14-3 overall) remained unbeaten in 10 league outings this season. They entertain Lakewood for senior night Tuesday and travel to archrival Rosewood on Wednesday.
Hailey Wood (RBI), Logan Pace, Charley Cox and Tori Paul collected two hits apiece in the Bulldogs' sixth road win of the season. Taylor Carroll (RBI) contributed one hit.
Wood and Paul combined for a four-hitter inside the pitcher's circle. Wood tossed 51/3 innings and fanned seven North Duplin batters to earn the win after getting the save 24 hours earlier against Spring Creek. Paul contributed 12/3 innings of four-strikeout, three-hit relief.
Rylee Pate paced the Rebels' offense with two hits. Mikayla Koch and Kayla Alphin each had one hit.
Koch took the pitching loss.
