Adams shoots medalist-best 70 on GMGC links

Rosewood senior Nick Adams secured medalist honors with a 70 during a Carolina 1-A Conference meet contested at Goldsboro Municipal Golf Course on Tuesday afternoon.
Five strokes separated the top four individual finishers. Lakewood's Griffin Faircloth logged a 71, followed by James Kenan's Cole Pridgen with a 74. Spring Creek's Kyle Stone shot a 75.
Princeton's Joel Hines and North Duplin's Hunter Brock each fired an 83.
Lakewood won the team portion with a 340-344 decision over three-time defending conference champion Rosewood. The Eagles hold a 34-stroke advantage overall after four meets.
Princeton posted a four-player total of 378, followed by Spring Creek with a 388. James Kenan had a 411 and North Duplin recorded a 418.
