Vera scores lone goal in Goldsboro's 1st win of 2014

Mikaela Vera scored the goal and Goldsboro's defense protected its advantage in a 1-0 victory over Kinston in an Eastern Carolina 2-A Conference game.
Ivey Wade had the assist for the Cougars, who won their first game of the season with new head coach Leha Andres.
Becka Pittard recorded eight saves.
Goldsboro (1-5-0 overall, 1-1-0 ECC) is the guest of Southern Wayne on Thursday.
