Goldsboro picks up ECC 2A tennis victory

Goldsboro swept the doubles and dealt short-handed Kinston a 6-3 loss in Eastern Carolina 2-A Conference play Tuesday afternoon.
Vincent Spagnuolo, Jon Stevens and Devin Collins each picked up a singles point for the Cougars. Josh Matias-Spagnuolo and Stevens-Archibald each triumphed in doubles.
Kinston forfeited its No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles matches due to having just five players.
Goldsboro improved to 3-1 overall and 3-1 in ECC play this season.
