Princeton softball shuts out North Duplin

CALYPSO -- Princeton topped Carolina 1-A Conference foe North Duplin, 10-0, in five innings on Thursday afternoon.
Kelsey Peedin, Tori Paul, Beth Braswell, Charley Cox, Taylor Carroll and Savanna Massengill all had one hit apiece for Princeton. The Rebels committed six errors.
Paul went the distance in the circle with a two-hit shutout. She struck out nine and didn't surrender a walk.
Princeton (6-3 overall, 4-0 CC) visits Southern Wayne on Monday. North Duplin (3-3, 3-1) plays host to Hobbton on Monday.
