Preps digest: JV, middle school news

JV sports
* Baseball: North Lenoir 7, C.B. Aycock 5 -- Jacob Sanford led the Golden Falcons' offense with three hits and an RBI. Bryce Anders (RBI) and Cameron Kornegay (RBI) provided two hits apiece. Kornegay endured the mound loss for Aycock, which dropped to 7-2 overall this season.
Middle schools
* Girls' soccer: Norwayne 3, Greenwood 2 -- Colleena Zacharzuk and Lauren Smith accounted for the Cobras' offense on Thursday afternoon. McKenzie Norris was the winner in goal and tallied three saves.
* Baseball: Dillard 19, Brogden 9 -- Ricky James permitted one hit and recorded 10 strikeouts for Dillard. Aaron Smith provided three hits, including a double. D.J. Waters added two hits.
* Girls' soccer: Spring Creek 7, Rosewood 3 -- Bianca Cuevas-Barraza and Madison Sullivan each registered a hat trick (three goals) for the Gators. Mirna Santiago provided a goal and an assist. Cuevas-Barraza, Stefani Morfin-Gonzalez and Aisha Hamdan each had one assist. The Gators play host to Greenwood on April 7.
