Dogs take 7 first-place finishes in boys' track meet

PRINCETON -- Princeton seized first place in seven individual events and captured three relays during a three-team, Carolina 1-A Conference meet contested on the Fred Bartholomew Jr. Athletic Complex track Thursday afternoon.
Quinton Rhue (discus), Jose Moreno (1,600 run), Austin Sullivan (3,200 run), Robert Edwards (shot put, high jump), Jose Aguillon (800 run) and Martin Bayles (pole vault) each posted an individual win for the Dogs.
Princeton emerged victorious in the 800-, 1,600- and 3,200-meter relays.
N.C. State football commit Marcelias Sutton earned first-place finishes in the 100-meter dash and long jump. Teammates T.J. Fullwood (200 dash), Frederick Miller (triple jump) and Jalahne Stroud (400) each ended up first in their respective events.
The Dogs compiled 91 points. The Tigers collected 43 points, while county rival North Duplin scored 11 points.
