Eastern Wayne diamond 9 slip past Greene Central

Tanner Wells and Coy Barnett produced two hits apiece during Eastern Wayne's 4-3, non-conference triumph over Greene Central on Thursday afternoon.
Barnett added an RBI for the Warriors, who improved to 4-6 overall this season. Ryan Warren (RBI), Andrew McKeel, Lee Daniels and Ryan Faucette provided one hit apiece.
Brandon Johnson and Ryan Kelly each had a sacrifice RBI.
Wells earned a no-decision on the mound in three-plus innings of work. Johnson claimed the win with 21/3 innings of one-hit, four-strikeout relief.
Faucette threw a 10-pitch seventh inning to get the save.
Eastern Wayne entertains C.B. Aycock today.
