Aycock girls run past 3 ECC foes

WINTERVILLE -- Charles B. Aycock emerged victorious in five individual events and captured the 1,600-meter relay during a four-team Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference meet contested at South Central on Wednesday afternoon.
Jade Creel (high jump), Klara Doyle (100 hurdles), Courtney Warner (100 dash), Taylor Daniels (400 run) and Mackenzie Stewart (1,600 run) each placed first in their respective event.
The foursome of Daniels, Precious Reed, Jasmine Perry and Breanna Outlaw captured the 1,600-meter relay in 4 minutes, 57 seconds.
Weather permitting, Aycock returns to action Friday in the annual Wilson Times Classic at Beddingfield High School.
