Rampants' Clark handcuffs Aycock's batters

GREENVILLE -- J.D. Clark permitted one hit in a complete-game effort as perennial power J.H. Rose defeated C.B. Aycock, 4-1, on Thursday afternoon.
Clark surrendered an unearned run and fanned 10 Golden Falcon batters in the Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference game.
Trent Herndon had Aycock's lone hit.
Bobby Hampton claimed the pitching loss for the Golden Falcons. He allowed three runs (two earned) on six hits and struck out four Rose batters in four innings.
Tim Naughton provided two innings of one-hit, two-strikeout relief.
The Golden Falcons face D.H. Conley today.
